The Short Version
1. Introduction
Foxcolab ("we", "our", "us") is a secure, end-to-end encrypted communication platform built for individuals, teams, and communities. This Privacy Policy describes how Foxcolab Technologies collects, uses, and protects the personal data of users ("you", "your") when using our mobile and web applications.
By using Foxcolab, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to deliver secure, reliable communication.
a. Account Registration
We collect your mobile phone number when you register. This is used solely to verify your account and — with your consent — to identify which of your contacts are already on Foxcolab. Your real number is never exposed within the app.
b. F-Number Identity
Upon registration, Foxcolab assigns you a unique F-Number — your permanent in-app identity. All chats, calls, groups, teams, and sessions identify you exclusively by your F-Number. Your real phone number is never visible to other users.
c. Messages & Media
All messages, files, photos, videos, and documents are end-to-end encrypted using the Signal Protocol before they leave your device. We have zero access to the content of your conversations.
d. Calls & Screen Sharing
Audio calls, video calls, and screen sharing sessions are fully end-to-end encrypted and are never recorded or stored. Minimal call metadata (start time, duration) is retained briefly for performance monitoring only.
e. Anonymous Analytics
We collect anonymised crash logs and performance data (app version, device model) to improve quality. No message content, media, or personal identifiers are included in analytics.
3. App Permissions & Purpose
We only request device permissions that are strictly necessary for specific features. You can revoke any permission at any time from your device settings.
Contacts
Find friends on Foxcolab. Processed locally & securely hashed — never stored in plain text.
Microphone
Enable encrypted audio calls and voice messages.
Camera
Take photos, send images, and join encrypted video calls.
Storage / Media
Share and view photos, videos, and files inside the app.
Notifications
Alert you to new messages and incoming calls.
Location
Optionally share your live or current location with trusted contacts.
4. End-to-End Encryption
Foxcolab uses the industry-standard Signal Protocol — the same protocol trusted by security researchers globally. Encryption keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device. Foxcolab Technologies cannot decrypt or access your content under any circumstances.
5. Your F-Number Identity
Foxcolab uses your real mobile number only once — at registration, and to help you discover contacts already on Foxcolab. That is where the role of your real number ends.
Foxcolab immediately assigns you a unique F-Number — your permanent in-app identity. Every chat, call, group, team, and music session is tied to your F-Number alone. Other users will never see your real phone number — not in their contact list, not in chat headers, not anywhere.

6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain data only for as long as required to provide the service. We believe less data is safer data.
Messages & Media
Deleted immediately after successful delivery. Undelivered items are automatically purged after 30 days.
Account Data
Retained until you delete your account or formally request erasure. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Analytics / Logs
Anonymous crash logs are retained briefly for diagnosis, then anonymised or deleted.
Encrypted Backups
Any encrypted backups (for redundancy) are automatically purged within 7 days.
7. Third-Party Services
Foxcolab integrates a minimal set of third-party tools — only where essential functionality requires it.
Firebase (Google LLC)
Notifications onlyUsed exclusively for push notifications — to wake the app when a new message or call arrives. No message content passes through Firebase at any point.
Crashlytics / Analytics
Anonymous onlyAnonymous crash reports and performance statistics to improve app stability. No personal data or message content is ever included.
All third-party providers are GDPR / CCPA / DPDP compliant and operate under strict data processing agreements.
8. Your Data Protection Rights
Under GDPR (EU), CCPA (US), and India's DPDP Act 2023, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
Right to Access
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification
Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Right to Erasure
Delete your account and all associated data permanently.
Right to Restrict
Limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
Right to Portability
Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Revoke any permissions you've previously granted at any time.

9. Children's Privacy
Foxcolab is not designed for or directed at children under 9 years of age (or the applicable digital consent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a child's data has been inadvertently collected, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians may contact us at contact@foxcolab.com for assistance.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. When we make material changes, we will notify you in-app and post the updated version to foxcolab.com/privacy-policy. The effective date at the top of this document will always reflect the latest revision.
